The Nicholls Spinal Injury Foundation is a research-led charity, currently funding pioneering work at University College London to develop a biological treatment that enables spinal cord repair. Like all breakthrough medical research, this is a long-term endeavour – clinical trials are a future milestone rather than a current stage. However, advances in fields such as regenerative medicine mean there has never been a more promising time to invest in finding a cure.
