As a tiny charity without any government funding we are grateful for every fundraiser and every donation. At this difficult time, we are more appreciative than ever. Read on to find out what our fundraisers have been up to:<\/p>\n<p>Sunday 26<sup>th<\/sup> April saw many take part in the London Marathon 2.6 Challenge. <strong>Sarah Mook<\/strong> was one of them, running the equivalent distance of the marathon (26.2 miles) over the course of five days.<\/p>\n<p>For <strong>Claire Lomas<\/strong>, the 2.6 Challenge saw her move 26 metres across her garden without her wheelchair. Meanwhile in London, <strong>Lolly Mack<\/strong> was pushed 2.6 miles by her brother <strong>Tony<\/strong>, who ran the distance.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Helen Toseland<\/strong> had planned to take part in the Three Peaks Challenge, which was unfortunately cancelled. Instead, she embarked on a climb of her 2.6m staircase 1,300 times \u2013 the equivalent height of Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon.<\/p>\n<p>On the 21<sup>st<\/sup> June, the usual date of the Melton Mowbray half marathon, <strong>Catherine<\/strong> and <strong>Gary Burniston <\/strong>successfully ran their first half marathon, cheered on by Claire Lomas and her family.<\/p>\n<p>More recently, <strong>Tom Hill <\/strong>cycled 100 miles on the 13\/14<sup>th<\/sup> July, along with two of his friends, <strong>Conor <\/strong>and<strong> Matis, <\/strong>in honour of Tom\u2019s late aunt, Penny.<\/p>\n<p>Our aim of developing a cure for paralysis from spinal cord injury is one step closer thanks to our fundraisers.
