May would often talk about her work with young patients in the centre whose lives had been changed due to a spinal cord injury. What struck Elaine the most about her friend\u2019s experiences was the sadness in the lack of hope of recovery for many of these young people.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">It is for this reason that Elaine felt so touched by David and Daniel\u2019s story featured on 60 minutes, and contacted the team here to see how she could help our cause.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">After getting in touch, Elaine pledged to take part in Perth\u2019s City Surf event, walking 12 km from the city centre to the beach with a group of friends to raise money for nsif.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">We are incredibly grateful to Elaine for all that she has achieved for us, and thrilled to have some support in Australia.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Thank you Elaine!<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Can you help spread global support for nsif?
