Sander has got two young children and has battled through all the challenges associated with spinal cord injury, and has also managed to continue working after his accident.<\/p>\n<p>Sander\u2019s sister, Kate Anne Douglas, was first diagnosed with breast cancer whilst pregnant with her daughter Lola. She could not undergo the required treatment whilst pregnant. Therefore the cancer developed rapidly. She has undergone extensive treatment since, including chemotherapy and various trial procedures.
